Starlink Begins Accepting Orders In Vietnam

Starlink, the satellite internet service operated by Elon Musk’s SpaceX, has begun accepting orders in Vietnam, according to the company’s local website.

Households can now place deposits through the Starlink website for a residential service plan starting at 1.13 million dong ($43) per month. Customers will also need to pay 8.66 million dong for the required hardware.

    Starlink Enters Vietnam’s Market

The minimum monthly subscription for corporate clients is 1.48 million dong.

With the launch, Vietnam becomes the sixth Southeast Asian market where Starlink services are available. It joins Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and East Timor, according to Starlink’s coverage map.

Vietnam’s entry into the Starlink network follows a government decision announced in March 2025. Authorities said SpaceX would be allowed to launch the service on a trial basis, while foreign ownership limits for the service would be waived.

    Trial Period Runs Until 2030

Vietnamese authorities have capped the number of Starlink subscribers at 600,000 during the trial period. The trial is scheduled to run through the end of 2030.

The service is operated by SpaceX’s local unit, Starlink Services Vietnam. The company was established in September 2025 with charter capital of 30 billion dong ($1.1 million).

    Vietnam Authorises Four Ground Stations

Vietnam has authorised four Starlink ground gateway stations, according to the government.

The availability of the service marks an expansion of Starlink’s presence in Southeast Asia. The company’s local offering now allows residential and corporate customers in Vietnam to place orders under the terms set for the trial period.
