Unveiling the Unseen: Ankit Group’s Crucial Role in India’s Space Endeavors

StratNewsGlobal Tech TeamBy StratNewsGlobal Tech TeamAugust 25, 2023Updated:August 25, 2023 Space No Comments2 Mins Read

India’s stake in the global space market has surged to 3% of the $360-billion industry, propelled by a network of 500+ domestic suppliers, including 165 SMEs.

Among these, the Ankit Group, located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, has emerged as a standout contributor to the Chandrayaan program.

The spotlight shines on Ankit Group’s involvement in the imminent Chandrayaan-3 mission, that successfully made its lander touch the lunar surface near its South Pole on August 23rd, 2023.

Having unveiled 3D-printed Grid Fins for ISRO’s human space program in early 2023, the Group showcased pioneering prowess and dedication.

In a strategic role reversal, Chandrayaan-3 omits an orbiter but integrates the Spectro-polarimetry of Habitable Planet Earth (SHAPE) payload on the adapter that carried both the lander and rover to the moon. Ankit Group’s integral part in every module deployment marks a unique distinction, being the exclusive Indian entity authorized for certain critical component production.

Ankit Group has contributed to the mission alloy and stainless steel fasteners with standout titanium bolts featuring Ion Vapor Deposition (IVD) coating. This proprietary innovation bolsters mission durability and performance, epitomizing the Group’s commitment to excellence.

As Chandrayaan-3’s historic mission unfolds, Ankit Group’s precision, innovation, and dedication is a testament to India’s resolute march toward a lunar economy.
