Arc Sport EV Boat Brings Silent Power to the Water
Carving effortlessly across Lake Mead, just 30 minutes from Las Vegas, the Arc Sport EV boat offers a clean, quiet vision of the future of water sports. Developed by California-based startup Arc, the all-electric wake sport vessel embodies a bold commitment to eliminating noise, fumes, and emissions from boating.
Electrifying the Water
“We are on a mission to electrify everything on the water,” said Arc co-founder and CEO Mitch Lee. His team, composed largely of former Tesla and Rivian engineers, has designed the 23-foot Arc Sport EV to combine Silicon Valley innovation with marine performance.
Powered by a 500-horsepower electric drivetrain, the boat promises faster acceleration, lower maintenance, and complete freedom from emissions. Unlike traditional gas-powered wake boats, the Arc Sport EV glides in near silence, offering an uninterrupted experience on the water.
“It gives you hours of fun without any of the fumes, any of the noise, any maintenance burdens of a gas boat,” Lee explained. The vessel delivers four to six hours of active use per charge, with an overnight recharge on a Level 2 charger providing a full battery by morning.
Smart Technology on the Water
Beyond its powerful electric propulsion, the Arc Sport EV is defined by its intelligent software systems. A large central touchscreen enables drivers to configure displays, balance systems, and adjust cruise control with ease.
“With one touch of a button, you can throw that perfect surf wave on one side of the boat or the other,” said Lee. This digital integration reflects Arc’s approach to blending high performance with modern usability, mirroring the evolution of electric cars into connected platforms.
A Premium Vision for the Marine Future
While the Arc Sport EV carries a starting price of $268,000, Lee insists the figure is competitive with other high-end wake sport boats. “That sounds like a lot, and it is a lot of money,” he admitted, “but it is directly competitive with other premium wake sport boats.” Demand, however, has not been a problem.
Lee argues that electrification makes even greater sense on water than on roads. “By going electric, you solve a bunch of very acute pain points with owning a gas boat,” he said. “It makes sense across every part of the industry from an economic and product perspective. The future of the marine industry will be electric.”
Expanding Beyond Recreation
The Arc Sport EV marks only the beginning for Arc. The Los Angeles-based startup plans to expand its electric platform into other sectors, including fishing boats, leisure craft, and commercial vessels such as tugboats and ferries.
By applying cutting-edge technology to one of the most traditional industries, Arc is positioning itself at the forefront of a transformation that could redefine the marine experience. With each quiet glide across the water, the Arc Sport EV signals that the electric revolution has reached the waves.
