GTA 6 Pre-Orders Go Live in India: Price, Editions, Bonuses, and Launch Details
The countdown to one of gaming’s biggest releases has entered its final phase. Rockstar Games has officially opened pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) worldwide, including in India, allowing PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X players to reserve their copies ahead of the game’s November launch.
Indian gamers can now pre-order GTA 6 through the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, and selected physical retailers. The game is scheduled to launch globally on November 19, 2026, with pre-orders opening on June 25.
GTA 6 India Price and Editions
Rockstar is offering GTA 6 in two editions at launch.
The Standard Edition is priced at Rs 5,999 in India (USD 79.99), while the Ultimate Edition costs Rs 7,499 (USD 99.99). The Standard Edition’s price also marks a new high for a major AAA release, surpassing the long-standing USD 70 benchmark.
The Ultimate Edition includes a range of exclusive in-game content, including bonus vehicles, outfits, weapons, and additional story content for protagonists Jason and Lucia. New rewards will unlock as players progress through different chapters of the campaign.
Pre-Order Bonuses
Players who pre-order either edition before November 20 will receive the Vintage Vice City Pack, featuring retro-inspired 1980s-themed cosmetic items. Rockstar is also offering a free one-month GTA+ subscription, which can be redeemed immediately after purchase.
Digital buyers will be able to pre-load the game from November 12, allowing them to begin playing as soon as the game unlocks on launch day.
Physical Copies Will Include a Download Code
Gamers planning to purchase a boxed version should note that GTA 6 will not ship with a physical game disc at launch. Instead, the retail package will contain a digital download code, which also supports pre-loading from November 12.
PS5 Promises the Best Experience
Although GTA 6 launches on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X, Sony says the game is designed to take full advantage of the PS5’s hardware.
According to Sony, the console’s ultra-fast SSD will deliver near-instant loading times, enabling seamless travel across Vice City and the wider state of Leonida. The game will also utilise the DualSense controller’s haptic feedback, adaptive features, and built-in speaker, while Tempest 3D Audio aims to create a more immersive sound experience.
Sony has not announced any PS5 Pro-specific enhancements, leaving questions about improved performance on the upgraded console unanswered.
PC Version Still Unconfirmed
Rockstar has yet to reveal a release date for the PC version of GTA 6. Based on the studio’s previous launch strategy, a PC release could arrive 12 to 18 months after the console debut, although the company has not confirmed any timeline.
At launch, GTA 6 will be a single-player experience, with GTA Online expected to arrive separately at a later date.
Beware of Fake Beta Invitations
Rockstar has also warned players to ignore emails claiming to offer early beta access to GTA 6. Fraudsters are reportedly exploiting the game’s popularity by sending fake beta invitations.
The company has confirmed that there is no official GTA 6 beta programme, and no legitimate early access is being distributed via email.
