The two-day Fusion AI Summit 2025 began in Visakhapatnam on Friday, marking a major milestone in India’s AI journey. Organised by the DeepTech Naipunya Foundation, the event is the first exclusive AI-focused summit in the city. It brought together over 1,100 participants, including policymakers, tech leaders, entrepreneurs, and students.
State minister Kondapalli Srinivas inaugurated the summit and highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s ambition to become an AI-first economy. “AI-human collaboration is already reshaping productivity and daily life in our state,” he said, underlining the potential for AI to drive positive change.
NVIDIA Highlights Vizag’s Role in India’s AI Growth
Vishal Dhupar, NVIDIA’s South Asia Managing Director, delivered the keynote on realising India’s AI potential. He outlined a framework based on three principles: AI adoption laws, learnings from AI history, and the creation of AI factories.
“Vizag is strategically positioned to lead India’s AI transformation,” said Dhupar. He also noted NVIDIA’s active investment in Andhra Pradesh’s AI infrastructure and innovation ecosystem.
Bridging Innovation with Impact
Several dignitaries spoke about the role of AI in enhancing government services and workforce development. Ravi Vemuru, president of the APNRT Society, stressed the value of hyper-personalisation through AI. “This is not just a trend—it’s an opportunity for Andhra Pradesh to uplift industries and communities,” he said.
Dr Suresh Batha, additional director at STPI, pointed to key initiatives such as the Kalpataru Centre of Excellence (CoE). He revealed that the state has achieved up to 75% efficiency gains in public services and is supporting hundreds of startups.
Sreedhar Kosaraju, chairman of the APDTI Network, noted that Andhra Pradesh’s strong talent base and innovation drive make Vizag an ideal hub for AI. “This summit is where we turn bold ideas into action,” he said.
The Fusion AI Summit 2025 is set to be a launching point for future collaborations, with diverse stakeholders coming together to shape India’s AI roadmap.
