Iran Threatens Stargate Data Centre Escalates Tensions

Iran Issues Stark Warning Over Stargate AI Data Centre In Abu Dhabi

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has issued a direct warning to the United States, stating that any attack on Iran’s power infrastructure will trigger immediate retaliation. The warning specifically mentions the potential destruction of key regional assets, including a major artificial intelligence data centre in Abu Dhabi.

Brigadier General Ebrahim Zolfaghari delivered the statement in an official video message. He declared that any hostile action targeting Iran’s energy facilities would result in a forceful and decisive response. Furthermore, he emphasised that infrastructure linked to the United States and its allies would be considered legitimate targets.

Threat Expands To Technology And Energy Infrastructure

Zolfaghari stated that power plants, energy systems, and communications networks tied to what he described as adversarial interests would face complete destruction. In addition, he warned that companies operating in the region with American involvement could also be targeted.

The video then shifted focus to a location in Abu Dhabi. It displayed satellite imagery of a desert area, which appeared empty at first glance. However, the footage later revealed what was described as a concealed large scale data centre facility. A message in the video claimed that such sites could not remain hidden.

Moreover, the facility highlighted in the footage is reportedly valued at 30 billion dollars and represents a significant investment in artificial intelligence infrastructure. The implication was clear, as the site was presented as a potential target in the event of escalation.

Rising Tensions And Questions Over Capability

The warning follows reports that recent strikes attributed to Iran disrupted operations at certain data centres in the region. These incidents have raised concerns about the vulnerability of critical digital infrastructure during periods of conflict.

However, questions remain about whether such threats will translate into direct action. Observers note that despite ongoing tensions, similar high value targets have not yet been struck. This raises uncertainty about both intent and capability.

At the same time, the broader rhetoric has intensified. Iran has issued multiple warnings directed at major technology firms in recent weeks. Consequently, the situation continues to evolve, with both sides maintaining a firm stance.

There is also concern about the human impact of any potential escalation. These facilities employ workers and support essential services, meaning any attack would carry serious consequences beyond financial losses.
