RailTel Drives Dialogue On AI Led Public Health At AI Impact Summit 2026
RailTel Corporation of India Ltd., a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Railways, curated and hosted two high level panel discussions on Artificial Intelligence driven healthcare at the AI Impact Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam. The summit, organised under the aegis of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and the IndiaAI Mission, brought together policymakers, technology leaders, healthcare professionals, researchers and innovators from India and abroad.

Through these sessions, RailTel reinforced its commitment to inclusive and accessible public health powered by advanced digital infrastructure. Moreover, the discussions highlighted how collaborative efforts can accelerate the responsible deployment of AI across the healthcare ecosystem.
Strengthening Public Health Through AI Collaboration
RailTel curated a session titled Public Health Powered by AI: RailTel’s Collaborative Model for AI Enabled Inclusive Healthcare for Bharat and Beyond. During this discussion, panellists stressed the importance of partnerships between government institutions, healthcare providers, research bodies and technology companies. They emphasised that such collaboration ensures AI solutions address real public health needs.
In addition, experts explained how AI can enhance disease surveillance and enable early detection of health risks. They also noted that AI tools can improve clinical decision support and strengthen population scale health management. As a result, healthcare systems can respond faster and more effectively to emerging challenges.
Importantly, speakers underlined that AI must act as a catalyst for equity. Therefore, developers and policymakers must ensure that technology bridges healthcare gaps instead of widening existing disparities.
Advancing Inclusive And Accessible Healthcare
The second session, titled AI for Inclusive, Accessible, and Universal Healthcare, focused on expanding AI driven solutions to underserved and remote communities. Panellists agreed that patient centric policies must guide innovation. They argued that healthcare development cannot rely solely on commercial returns.
Furthermore, experts discussed practical challenges. They pointed to limited high bandwidth infrastructure in remote regions and called for realistic deployment strategies aligned with on ground realities. At the same time, they stressed the need to measure meaningful outcome based indicators to assess the real impact of AI systems.
Additionally, speakers highlighted the importance of improving healthcare literacy. They explained that better awareness prevents confusion and ensures that communities understand how AI supports universal and inclusive healthcare delivery.
