Global Robotics Leaders Gather at Beijing E-Town
The World Robot Conference (WRC) 2025 opened in Beijing on Friday, drawing global attention with over 100 new robotics products making their debut—nearly double the number from last year. The event is being held in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, also known as Beijing E-Town, and runs from Friday to Tuesday.

This year’s theme, “Making Robots Smarter, Making Embodied Agents More Intelligent,” reflects the growing focus on advanced robotics and AI integration. The conference features forums, exhibitions, competitions, and networking sessions.
Over 200 Robotics Firms and 1,500 Exhibits
More than 200 top robotics companies from around the world are showcasing over 1,500 exhibits. These include agile quadruped robots, search-and-rescue machines, inspection tools, catheter-shaping devices, and robotic lawn mowers.

Humanoid robots are again a major highlight. Fifty companies are presenting their latest full-body humanoid robots, offering attendees a close look at advancements in human-like robotics.
Forums, Innovations, and Global Dialogue
The main forum, along with 20 thematic forums, will host over 400 participants. These include international scientists, leading experts, entrepreneurs, and representatives from global organisations. Discussions will focus on the latest trends, applications, and innovations in robotics.

In addition to the main programme, 31 side events are scheduled. These are designed to boost global cooperation, promote real-world applications, support standards testing, and speed up breakthroughs in robotics. Talent development in the industry is also a core focus.
China Leads in Robotics Innovation
In 2024, China produced 556,000 industrial robots and filed two-thirds of the world’s robot patent applications. This solidifies its position as the global leader in both robotics manufacturing and innovation.
