SpaceX Prepares for Falcon 9 Launch After Hurricane Delay

SpaceX is targeting an early Tuesday launch for its next Starlink mission, following a brief delay caused by Hurricane Milton. The launch is scheduled for 1:34 a.m. from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. This mission will deploy 23 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit, further expanding SpaceX’s satellite network aimed at providing global internet coverage.

    Backup Launch Windows in Place

If the launch cannot proceed as scheduled, backup windows are available on Tuesday until 5:22 a.m. SpaceX has also set additional opportunities for Wednesday, with a launch window starting at 2:33 a.m. This flexibility ensures the mission will proceed as soon as weather and conditions permit.

    SpaceX Falcon 9 Booster’s 11th Flight

The mission will mark the 11th flight of the Falcon 9 first-stage booster, which has already supported a range of missions, including Axiom-2 and Axiom-3, as well as several previous Starlink launches. After stage separation, the booster will attempt to land on the droneship A Shortfall of Gravitas stationed in the Atlantic Ocean. SpaceX’s precision in reusing boosters has helped lower costs and increase the frequency of space missions.

    Watch the Launch Live

For those interested in watching the event, the launch will be streamed live online, providing real-time updates as the mission unfolds.
