Major Global Event Aims to Build Strong, Sustainable Semiconductor Ecosystem
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate Semicon India 2025 on 2nd September at 10 AM at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi. The three-day global conference, held from 2nd to 4th September, aims to accelerate India’s journey as a leading hub for semiconductor innovation, manufacturing, and design.
The Prime Minister will also participate in the event on 3rd September from 9:30 AM, taking part in a high-level CEOs roundtable.
Focus on Fabs, AI, Smart Manufacturing and Global Collaboration
The conference will spotlight several critical areas, including:
Progress under the Semicon India Programme
Development of semiconductor fabs and advanced packaging projects
Infrastructure and smart manufacturing readiness
Breakthroughs in AI and R&D
Investment potential and state-level policy initiatives
In addition, the event will showcase India’s Design Linked Incentive (DLI) scheme, highlighting the growth of startups and collaborations with global partners. Dedicated sessions will also focus on workforce development and the long-term roadmap for India’s semiconductor ecosystem.

Semicon India 2025 has drawn significant international attention. Over 20,750 attendees, including more than 2,500 delegates from 48+ countries, are expected to participate. The event will feature:

Semicon conferences held globally aim to spread awareness about emerging technologies and national policies related to semiconductors. This aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision to position India as a key destination for semiconductor design, manufacturing, and innovation.
Previous editions of Semicon India were held in Bengaluru (2022), Gandhinagar (2023), and Greater Noida (2024), paving the way for deeper industry engagement and technological leadership.
