    PM AI Roundtable

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday chaired a roundtable with chief executives of leading AI and deeptech startups at Seva Teerth. The meeting brought together founders and innovators who are building solutions to address challenges at population scale across India.

Startups Driving Impact Across Key Sectors

During the discussion, CEOs and founders of 16 startups outlined their work across diverse sectors. They described how they apply artificial intelligence to improve healthcare delivery through advanced diagnostics, gene therapy and efficient patient record management. As a result, they aim to extend quality care to the last mile.

In agriculture, several ventures demonstrated how they use geospatial and underwater intelligence to increase productivity. At the same time, they help farmers manage climate risks more effectively. Others presented solutions in cybersecurity and ethical AI, while some highlighted their efforts in the space sector.

Moreover, a number of startups focus on social empowerment. They use technology to expand vernacular access to justice and education. In addition, some companies work on modernising legacy systems to improve enterprise productivity. Collectively, the participants reflected an ecosystem that responds to local needs while aspiring to global leadership in AI driven innovation.

Industry Applauds India AI Impact Summit

The founders praised India’s sustained push to strengthen its artificial intelligence ecosystem. They noted the rapid expansion of the sector and emphasised its untapped potential. Furthermore, they observed that global momentum in AI innovation and deployment increasingly points towards India.

They described the country as offering a supportive and dynamic environment for AI development. Consequently, they said India has firmly positioned itself on the global AI landscape. The participants also commended the India AI Impact Summit. They called it a clear sign of the nation’s growing influence in shaping global conversations on AI.

PM Calls For India Focused AI Solutions

Prime Minister Modi congratulated the innovators for taking bold risks and creating impactful solutions. He discussed the potential of harnessing AI in agriculture and environmental protection. For instance, he referred to monitoring crop productivity and fertiliser usage to safeguard soil health.

In addition, he stressed the importance of promoting Indian languages and culture. He urged developers to expand AI tools that support higher education in the mother tongue. He also underlined the need for strong data governance and cautioned against misinformation.

Referring to UPI as an example of simple and scalable digital innovation, he encouraged confidence in domestic products. He further called for greater private participation in the space sector and noted strong investor interest in Indian startups.

The meeting was attended by CEOs and founders of Abridge, Adalat AI, BrainSightAI, Credo AI, Eka Care, Glean, Innogle, Invideo, Miko, Origin, Prophaze, Rasen, Rubrik, SatSure, Supernova and Sypha AI. Principal Secretary Shri P K Mishra, Principal Secretary 2 Shri Shaktikanta Das and Minister of State Shri Jitin Prasada also attended.
