World Food India 2025 to Showcase India’s Rise as a Global Food Processing Hub
The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) will host the fourth edition of World Food India (WFI) from 25 to 28 September 2025 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the event on 25 September at 6:00 PM. This global platform will bring together over 100 nations, aiming to spotlight India’s growing leadership in food innovation, investment, and sustainability.
Union Minister Chirag Paswan emphasised that World Food India is more than a trade show—it’s a transformative platform that places India at the centre of the global food ecosystem. He noted that under the Prime Minister’s leadership, the event aims to promote sustainable, inclusive, and future-ready food systems, further reinforcing India’s identity as the “Food Basket of the World”.
1,700+ Exhibitors and 100+ Countries to Join India’s Biggest Food Processing Event
Spread across 1,00,000 square metres, WFI 2025 will feature participation from over 21 countries, 21 Indian states and union territories, 10 central ministries, and 5 allied organisations. With more than 1,700 exhibitors and 500+ international buyers expected, this is the largest-ever congregation in India’s food processing sector.
Key dignitaries attending the inaugural session include Mr. Dmitry Patrushev, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Minister Chirag Paswan, and Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu.
New Zealand and Saudi Arabia are this year’s Partner Countries, while Japan, Russia, UAE, and Vietnam are designated Focus Countries.

WFI 2025 will host over 45 knowledge sessions, covering themes like food safety, innovation, and packaging technologies. Key parallel events include:
The 3rd Global Food Regulators Summit by FSSAI, promoting global food safety harmonisation
The 24th India International Seafood Show by SEAI, showcasing seafood export opportunities
A Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet by APEDA, with 1,000+ buyers expected
Dedicated exhibitions will feature international and state pavilions, a Pet Food Pavilion, a Technology Pavilion, and a Start-up Innovation Pavilion hosted by MoFPI.

As part of the event’s initiatives, Union Minister Chirag Paswan launched a publication titled “Frequently Asked Questions on Different Concepts of Food Processing”. The guide, developed with input from industry experts, aims to clear misconceptions about processed foods and promote science-based, informed choices.
The Ministry also acknowledged the support from various government bodies, including the Ministries of Agriculture, MSME, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and organisations like APEDA, MPEDA, and other commodity boards.
World Food India 2025 stands as a milestone event, reinforcing India’s position in the global agri-food sector while opening new avenues for international partnerships and investments.
