Delhi Development Authority Launches Single Window Clearance System for Online Building Plan Approval
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has launched a Single Window Clearance System for its Online Building Plan Approval System (OBPAS), powered by SoftTech Engineers Limited. The implementation marks a significant step towards digitising and streamlining the building permit approval process through a unified digital platform.
Developed and implemented by SoftTech Engineers Limited, the system aims to simplify the complete building approval ecosystem for DDA. It covers both pre-submission and post-submission processes while facilitating seamless coordination among applicants, architects, DDA officials, and multiple No Objection Certificate (NOC) departments.
Unified Digital Approval Platform
The new platform brings together various approval processes through a single digital interface. As a result, stakeholders can access a more efficient and structured workflow for building permit applications.
The system incorporates AI-powered CAD scrutiny to assess compliance with building bye-laws. In addition, it enables real-time application tracking, allowing applicants and officials to monitor progress at every stage. Mobile application-enabled geo-tagged site inspections further strengthen the verification process and improve operational efficiency.
Moreover, the platform supports online fee payments and digital issuance of approvals and certificates. These features help reduce paperwork while accelerating approval timelines.
Enhanced Transparency and Monitoring
The Single Window Clearance System also includes automated alerts delivered through web notifications, SMS messages, and email updates. Consequently, users remain informed about important milestones and actions throughout the approval lifecycle.
Alongside communication tools, the platform offers advanced MIS dashboards that support governance monitoring and administrative oversight. Centralised digital record management ensures that documents and approvals remain accessible through a structured digital repository.
By reducing manual intervention and automating key functions, the system is expected to minimise delays and improve transparency across the approval process. Furthermore, the integrated workflow helps create a more consistent and accountable approval environment.
Supporting Digital Urban Governance
Commenting on the development, Vijay Gupta, Founder, Chairman and CEO of SoftTech Engineers Limited, said that digital transformation in urban governance is essential for building future-ready cities. He stated that the advanced Single Window Clearance System will enable faster, smarter, and more transparent building permit approvals while supporting DDA’s objective of efficient and citizen-centric urban development.
The implementation further strengthens SoftTech Engineers Limited’s position as a technology provider for large-scale public infrastructure initiatives. At the same time, it supports India’s Ease of Doing Business agenda and the broader objective of promoting transparent, technology-driven urban governance.
SoftTech Engineers Limited focuses on digital solutions for the Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Operations (AECO) and infrastructure sectors.
