Anthropic Restores Fable 5 Access After US Approval
Anthropic announced a broad restoration of access to its advanced artificial intelligence models after the US government lifted export restrictions. The company said it will continue working with US authorities to expand availability of its Mythos 5 model while restoring Fable 5 across major cloud platforms and its own services.
The latest update follows the US government’s decision to ease earlier restrictions on the company’s advanced AI models. Anthropic said it is moving quickly to restore access for customers while maintaining coordination with government agencies on security and deployment standards.
Fable 5 Returning Across Platforms
Anthropic said it will re-enable access to Fable 5 on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud and Microsoft Foundry as quickly as possible.
The company also confirmed that Fable 5 will become available globally from Wednesday, 1 July, through its Claude platform, including Claude.ai and Claude Code.
For customers on Pro, Max, Team and selected Enterprise plans, Fable 5 will count for up to 50% of weekly usage limits through 7 July.
Mythos 5 Access to Expand
Anthropic said it has already restored access to Mythos 5 for a group of US organisations following government approval granted on 26 June.
The company added that it will continue coordinating with the US government to expand access to Mythos 5 to a broader group of domestic and international partners participating in the Glasswing programme.
Industry Partners Developing AI Security Framework
Anthropic also announced that it is working with Amazon, Microsoft, Google and other Glasswing partners to draft a framework for assessing the severity of AI jailbreaks.
The proposed framework is intended to support a consistent approach to evaluating and addressing security risks associated with advanced AI models as access expands across approved organisations and platforms.
