UIDAI Partners With MapmyIndia To Show Aadhaar Centres On Mappls

The Unique Identification Authority of India has entered into an agreement with MapmyIndia to display authorised Aadhaar centres on the Mappls App. This initiative aims to improve convenience for residents by helping them locate verified centres easily. The facility will become available in the coming months and will streamline access to Aadhaar-related services.

Moreover, the new feature will allow users to identify nearby authorised Aadhaar centres based on the type of services offered. These services include adult enrolment, child enrolment, and updates such as address or mobile number changes. As a result, residents will be able to choose centres that match their specific needs more efficiently.

    Digital Mapping To Improve Accessibility

The collaboration focuses on digitally mapping verified Aadhaar centres across the country. This approach will ensure that users receive accurate and reliable information when searching for Aadhaar services. In addition, the integration will help reduce confusion caused by unauthorised or incorrect listings.

Officials confirmed that the agreement was signed on 1 April 2026. Following this, both organisations began preparations to implement the feature within the Mappls platform. Once launched, users searching within the app will be directed only to authorised Aadhaar centres.

Furthermore, the initiative supports a broader goal of improving public access to Aadhaar services nationwide. It also aims to strengthen trust by ensuring that only verified centres appear in search results.

Enhancing User Experience And Reducing Misinformation

The partnership highlights a strong focus on user convenience and transparency. By offering clearly mapped and verified locations, the system will help residents avoid misinformation and unreliable service providers. Consequently, users will save time and effort when seeking Aadhaar-related assistance.

Additionally, MapmyIndia will integrate official data provided by UIDAI into the Mappls App. This integration will ensure accurate representation and distinct listing of Aadhaar centres across India. It will also maintain updated information as services evolve.

Leaders involved in the initiative emphasised that the collaboration reflects a commitment to resident-centric solutions. They stated that the feature will make it significantly easier for individuals to access essential identity services.

At the same time, the rollout will strengthen digital infrastructure by combining mapping technology with verified government data. This integration will create a more seamless and efficient experience for users across the country.
