China has launched its first nationwide comprehensive driver service map, bringing together information on driver rest stations, charging facilities and public services into a single digital platform.
The map was jointly released on 21 May by the China Transportation Association and related institutions, according to state broadcaster CCTV News.
Designed for China’s millions of taxi and freight drivers, the platform aims to provide one-stop access to essential transport and support services.
Five Key Service Sections
The driver service map includes five major sections:
- Driver stations
- Energy and charging services
- Convenience services
- Policy consultation
- AI assistant support
More than 2,100 driver service stations across China have been integrated into the platform with visual navigation features.
The energy section combines information on EV charging stations, fuel stations and battery-swapping facilities, allowing drivers to compare options based on price and distance.
AI Assistant and Local Services
The platform also includes local convenience services such as parking areas, public toilets and recommended small businesses.
An AI-powered assistant has been added to answer drivers’ questions through voice interaction, including route guidance and service point information.
Future Expansion Plans
Officials from the urban transport division of the China Transportation Association said the next phase will focus on creating unified service standards and shared resources for driver stations nationwide.
The goal is to ensure drivers receive consistent services regardless of which city they are travelling in.
