MY Bharat Sets Guinness World Record for Largest Online Quiz Participation in One Week
Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), the flagship youth engagement platform under the Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, has earned a Guinness World Records title for achieving the “Most Users to Take an Online Quiz in One Week.” The recognition was awarded after 390,812 participants successfully completed the full-length quiz during the official assessment period.
The achievement marks a significant milestone for one of India’s largest youth engagement initiatives and highlights the growing role of digital platforms in encouraging civic participation among young citizens.
Guinness World Records Certificate Presented In New Delhi
The Guinness World Records certificate was presented by adjudicator Rishinath at a ceremony held at Shram Shakti Bhawan in New Delhi.
The event was attended by Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports and Labour and Employment Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Raksha Nikhil Khadse, Secretary of the Department of Youth Affairs Dr. Pallavi Jain Govil, senior ministry officials, representatives from Guinness World Records and participating youth.
The record was achieved through the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue (VBYLD) Quiz, a nationwide initiative designed to increase awareness and participation among young people in the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.
Massive Youth Participation Across India
Conducted through the MY Bharat portal, the VBYLD Quiz attracted participation from more than 50.42 lakh young people representing all 28 states and 8 Union Territories.
The initiative became one of the largest digital youth engagement exercises undertaken in the country, reflecting the increasing willingness of young Indians to engage with national development initiatives through digital platforms.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya congratulated MY Bharat and the entire team behind the achievement. He noted that the platform serves the aspirations of India’s youth, who account for nearly 65 per cent of the country’s population under the age of 35.
Recognition Belongs To India’s Youth
Dr. Mandaviya said the success of the platform is reflected in its rapid growth since launch.
According to the minister, MY Bharat has recorded 2.19 crore registrations within three years, with thousands of young people joining the platform every day.
He emphasised that the Guinness World Record belongs to the youth of India and reflects their trust in the journey towards Viksit Bharat@2047.
The minister further stated that MY Bharat is more than a digital platform. He described it as a credible space where young people can contribute ideas, participate in meaningful discussions and engage directly with nation-building initiatives.
He highlighted that suggestions shared by youth through the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue were reflected in the Union Budget 2026, demonstrating the impact of youth participation on policymaking.
Rigorous Verification Process
During the official Guinness World Records assessment period from October 25 to October 31, 2025, the MY Bharat platform recorded more than 8.39 lakh quiz participations.
Following the event, Guinness World Records conducted a comprehensive verification process that included independent digital forensic audits, evidence validation and detailed scrutiny of participation records.
After completing the review, Guinness World Records certified 390,812 eligible participants, officially establishing the new world record.
Strengthening Digital Youth Engagement
Secretary of the Department of Youth Affairs Dr. Pallavi Jain Govil said the MY Bharat portal has emerged as a trusted platform for meaningful youth engagement across the country.
She noted that the platform encourages voluntary and organic participation while offering opportunities for leadership development, volunteering, experiential learning and community engagement.
The recognition highlights the Government of India’s efforts to use digital technologies to expand opportunities for youth participation and civic engagement. It also underscores MY Bharat’s growing role as a national platform that empowers young citizens to contribute actively towards the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.
The Guinness World Records achievement represents an important milestone in India’s efforts to combine digital innovation, youth empowerment and citizen participation in support of long-term national development goals.
