India Space Congress 2025 to Attract Global Space Leaders and Investors

The 4th edition of the India Space Congress (ISC 2025) is scheduled to take place from June 25 to 27, 2025, in New Delhi, drawing more than 1,000 key stakeholders from over 40 countries.

Organized by SIA-India, the event is poised to be India’s premier space industry gathering, attracting top government officials, global investors, defence strategists, and space technology pioneers.

With the theme “Pioneering Innovation in Space Tech: India’s Journey Towards Global Partnerships,” ISC 2025 arrives at a pivotal moment for India’s growing role in space diplomacy and strategic autonomy. The event will showcase how India is not just responding to geopolitical shifts but actively shaping the global space ecosystem.

“India’s evolution in the space domain is no longer optional — it is essential,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi had stated, framing space development as a cornerstone in his vision for a “Developed India 2047.”

A Global Matchmaking Hub for Space Investment

ISC 2025 will serve as a crucial matchmaking platform for institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, and private equity firms eyeing India’s rapidly expanding space economy, which is projected to hit $44 billion by 2033.

“With an estimated Rs 1,000 crore in venture capital already in the pipeline and ANRF’s venture capital initiatives, the Congress is a timely hub for connecting capital with opportunity,” said Anil Prakash, Director General of SIA-India.

    Strategic and Commercial Collaboration

The Congress will feature over 35 thematic sessions across key tracks including: Satellite Communication (projected to reach $14.8 billion); Earth Observation (valued at $8 billion); Space Insurance and Investment; Defence and Cybersecurity; and Space Exploration and Biomanufacturing.

One of the most important discussions will focus on India’s pioneering biological experiments aboard the ISS under the recent Axiom Mission-4, a critical step toward sustainable space-based food production.

“Amidst intensifying geopolitical uncertainty, India is asserting its place not just as a participant in space, but as a key architect of the global space ecosystem,” remarked Dr Subbarao Pavuluri, President of SIA-India.

    International Collaborations and Strategic Dialogues

The event will feature exclusive sessions with delegations from Italy, Norway, Australia, and Hungary, aiming to foster bilateral opportunities and explore the role of Indian firms in the global supply chain. A dedicated US-India roundtable will focus on co-developing cutting-edge space technologies.

Special attention will also be given to India’s role in the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) and its efforts in extending Earth Observation (EO) capabilities to the Global South, supporting climate adaptation, agriculture, and disaster management.

    High-Profile Lineup

ISC 2025 has the backing of major national and international organizations including the Ministry of Electronics and IT, Department of Science and Technology, IN-SPACe, New Space India Ltd, Geospatial agencies from Thailand, and space agencies from Italy and Australia.

Speakers include: Dr Pawan Kumar Goenka, Chairman, IN-SPACe; Dr Shailesh Nayak, Director, NIAS; Prof Abhay Karandikar, Secretary, DST; Dr M Ravichandran, Secretary, Ministry of Earth Sciences; Lt Gen Vinod G. Khandare (Retd), Principal Advisor, Ministry of Defence; Dr Thierry E. Klein, President, Nokia Bell Labs; Prof Dr Kai-Uwe Schrogl, President, International Institute of Space Law; Arti Bhatnagar, Special Secretary & Financial Advisor, DPIIT.

Representatives from the diplomatic corps, including Philip Green OAM, Australian High Commissioner to India, and Ms. May-Elin Stener, Ambassador of Norway to India, will also contribute to strategic discussions.
